3. Which categories of personal data are processed?
We process the personal data that you provide to us as part of the registration process, the machine use with a Trackunit unit installed and the use of other Trackunit products. In particular, these are:
- Personal master data
- Identification numbers
- Contact data
- Registration data
- Information on the use behaviour with the device or machine
- GPS tracking data
- Data that you enter yourself when using the Trackunit Manager, such as driving licence and/or operator’s licence, personnel number, etc.
4. For what purposes and on what legal basis are my data processed?
The purpose is the provision of fleet management, telematics services, customer support and customer service.
The legal basis is the contract concluded between you and SILOKING under Article 6 (1) (b) of the GDPR.
5. Who will receive my data?
Within the SILOKING Group of Companies, only those persons and units receive your personal data that need them to fulfill our contractual and legal obligations towards you.
Our sales partners that look after you as an end customer and that provide you with customer support and customer service.
Service providers such as Trackunit that assist us in providing the services to you. Please also note the terms of use, which you confirm in the registration process of the Trackunit Manager.
6. Will my data be transferred to a third country?
Data transfer to countries outside the EU/EEA (so-called third countries) cannot be ruled out when using cloud services for data storage or for the operation of the Trackunit portal.
7. How long will my data be stored?
We erase your personal data as an end customer of SILOKING when underlying retention and documentation obligations (e.g. under the Handelsgesetzbuch (the German Commercial Code, “HGB”), the Bürgerliches Gesetzbuch (the German Civil Code, “BGB”, etc.)) end and no justified purpose justifies further storage.
The data in the Trackunit Portal will be erased when you request us to do so or when the machine is no longer in your ownership. With the registration of the new owner, any existing personal data in the Trackunit Manager will be erased.
8. What rights do I have concerning my data?
